This was my first time taking photos at Sherwood Gardens, and it is quite the hidden gem. It’s a small, historic area, tucked away from the everyday hustle and bustle of the city. It’s a nice little place to have a family picnic, and they accept donations to keep the gardens clean and beautiful. It was so lovely to photograph this beautiful family there, just at the end of peak tulip bloom. We enjoyed the many colors and sweet smells. One of the sitting areas has a bench with a chess board painted on it. Just bring chess pieces with you and a friend, and you'll be set for a couple hours. We all thought this was pretty neat. But the youngest of the bunch much preferred to wander off freely, and chase after the balls being tossed around by other visitors. One and a half is such a fun age. :) I can’t wait to see how she’s grown for my next session with this family!
