This lucky duck was just 10 days old for our session. She was born right when our lockdown ended, and this became my first session during the pandemic that did not have to be rescheduled. We were all very excited!
I think Little Miss Adalyn Lee looks like her Mama, just like her big sis. But unlike her big sis, Addy took a little bit more convincing to cooperate for photos. So we just let her run the show, kept her happy doing what she wanted to do, and got some very cute sleeping photos.
The fishing setup was a must for Dad! They found the adorable fishing hat set on Etsy, and had a jar full of yummy gummy worms to complete the setup. We ended up using the gummy worms later on, when Big Sis was getting a little antsy during photos. A little yummy goodness is usually a wonderful pick-me-up. It definitely works for me!
But Big Sis really did enjoy the photos. She actually had requested for some photos to be taken of her. And I think she definitely enjoyed kissing and holding her baby Addy the best, because she just stared and stared so sweetly at her. Then she liked to smile and stick her tongue out, haha!
Dad did a fantastic job soothing his newest baby girl when she was unhappy. He had the soothing shooshing sound down, but when that didn't work, he stood up and rocked her so sweetly. I'd say he has pro status now, after experience with Big Sister.
And it's always so difficult for me to choose my favorites, but there is one that's pretty high on my list here. That last one folks, where Mama and Addy are smiling at each other. Mama was holding dear Addy in her arms, booped her tiny nose with her finger, then Addy gave Mommy a big smile, and Mommy smiled right back. ♥
